Dr Sriram Thirugnanam (aka Dr Sri Ram) qualified as a Dental Surgeon from Annamalai University in 2002.
He completed his Masters in Periodontics in 2005, owing to his particular interest in gum care and health, hygiene, and implantology. He is a both Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons England (RCS Eng) and Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI).
He began his career as a clinical tutor in a dental school and worked his way up to the senior position of 'Reader,' mentoring numerous dental students and graduates with a particular interest in periodontics in India.
He has worked as a senior clinician with an interest in periodontal care in private and corporate dental practices, focusing on laser dentistry and implantology.
He firmly believes that the healthcare profession, particularly dentistry, has tremendous potential to digitalize operations to improve quality and care. To expand and deepen his knowledge of digital technologies, he earned an MSc degree in Digital Health Systems from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow in 2019. He aspires to incorporate digital dentistry into the clinical practice of himself and colleagues.
He recently completed his MSc in Dental Science for Clinical Practice in 2022 from the Queen Mary University of London. He is currently pursuing his M.Perio and ORE examinations, enabling him to work as a Specialist Periodontist once complete.
Dr Sri Ram is an ardent music fan, with tastes ranging from Hard Rock to Techno / Dubstep. He owns his own DJ equipment, and loves to cue and beat match his music as well as occasionally creating his own sets. He is also a photography enthusiast; he enjoys landscape and portrait photography and is an avid traveller.
