Your Whitening Pack

Your Whitening Pack will include the following items:

  • Several syringes of whitening gel
  • Your bespoke whitening tray
  • A case for your whitening tray
  • A product information leaflet

The number of syringes of gel you receive will depend on your clinical assessment and desired outcome.

How To Use Your Treatment
  • Brush and floss your teeth as normal.
  • Try your trays on before applying any gel. Ensure the fit is comfortable.
  • Make sure your trays are clean and dry.
  • Apply the gel to each tray. Do this by applying a small amount on the inner front surface of the tray, where each tooth will fit. Do not fill the tray or spread the gel around.
  • Each treatment requires around 0.5ml of gel, which means each syringe will provide around six treatments in total.
  • Once you have placed gel in the tray, insert the tray into your mouth and fit over your teeth. Remove any excess gel that may seep over the brim of the tray onto your gums, using your finger or a cotton swab.
  • Wear both trays together. We recommend you wear them overnight.
  • In the morning, remove the tray and brush your teeth as normal. Continue your normal oral health care routine.
Sensitivity

If sensitivity develops, let us know.

You can try wearing the trays every other night if preferred, although treatment will take longer.

We can also provide de-sensitizing gel at additional cost, which may assist.

Important Tips
  • You may notice white spots on your teeth after removing a tray. This is normally caused by dehydration. These should diminish within an hour of removal.
  • Try to avoid food and drink that may stain your teeth whilst undergoing treatment. Coffee, tea, red wine, berries and mustard are examples. Avoid for a minimum of 2 hours after treatment, although avoiding completely will achieve the best results.
  • Smoking must be avoided completely. Smoking during or after treatment will significantly diminish the results.
  • You should clean your trays regularly. Do this using a toothbrush or cotton bud, and cold water.
  • Keep the trays in their case when not in use.
  • Wear both trays together. We recommend you wear them overnight.
  • In the morning, remove the tray and brush your teeth as normal. Continue your normal oral health care routine.
Results

Whitening results can vary, and are not guaranteed.

The results you will achieve are personal to you, and will depend on the shade of your teeth at the start of treatment, how much you comply with the treatment instructions and other factors.
